Day 2 of Service

Day4-48The morning of our second service day we all fueled our bodies with the delicious food at the Whydam hotel and then departed to our service locations all eager to serve despite our tiredness. Some of the team on their way to RobleAlto even got the opportunity to drive through the slums, where most of the children we have met live, and even got to see the new center they are building which they all referred to as a light upon a hill. Our day all consisted of sanding, painting, cleaning, cooking, and most importantly, forming relationships with these kids that can’t be broken. Even though there is a huge language barrier between us, the connection we are making with the students is a gift from God and the love we already have for these ninos and ninas just after two days is indescribable.

Why is it I can’t read this blog and look at this pictures without crying? I am just so overwhelmed with pride that my daughter is a part of this absolutely amazing journey with such an incredible team. I cling on every written word and picture you all are posting.

Someone give Marisa and super big hug and sloppy kiss for her mom and dad please! My new FB profile pic is the one of her hand with the little boy. Can you say “PROUD mom”!?
