We Have Arrived!

Day1-11We have arrived in San Jose, Costa Rica!! This morning was a very early one; we arrived at the international terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson at 6:30 this morning. It was lots of fun being able to see the Browns Bridge Mexico team at the airport, so we were able to wish our insideout friends good luck before we both left for our trips!

Our airplane ride was a quick one, however the air conditioning was less than wonderful, our complimentary turkey sandwiches were a little dry, and the customs in Costa Rica took nearly two hours. But thank you to the crew of Delta 900 for keeping us safe as we traveled! Needless to say, we were thankful to get onto busses to head towards the Wyndham Pura Vida, where our parters at Openhouse Church made us feel extremely welcomed! We were served a delicious lunch upon arrival of tilapia, roast beef, rice, yummy tropical fruit, and salad! We also were served lemonade, pineapple and starfruit juice, and coffee, which was much needed at this point. Our friends at Openhouse gave us a presentation of what to expect and which facilities we would be working at. We were shown videos of the work we would be doing, which brought tears to many of our eyes!

Now, we are doing a little R&R before we head to dinner, and then follow into our normal routine of large group, worship, small group, and one-on-ones. Tomorrow we look forward to visiting our strategic partnership church, Openhouse, touring San Jose, and visiting a farmers market! We cannot contain our excitement for this upcoming week! Makes sure you check back to see what we are up to!
